5 Jahre nach „Jagged“ halte ich endlich das neue Album von Gary Numan in den Händen.

“Dead Son Rising” ist Numan´s 21 Studio Album.

Bei “Dead Son Rising” wird mir wieder einmal deutlich, warum Sänger wie Trent Raznor (Nine Inch Nails )  Gary Numan als Vorbild nennen.

Und es ist nicht Numan der hier klingt wie Nine Inch Nails.

Wer noch „Jagged“ in seinen Ohren hat wird an der CD sicher gefallen finden. Eingefleischte Numan Fans sowieso.

Mit jeden neuen Hören von “Dead Son Rising” schleicht sich bei mir das Album ein, mein  „Numan´s –Best Album-Ever „ zu werden.

 

Wie aus einen Soundtrack klingen einige Titel, schön und düster auf „For The Rest Of My Life (Reprise) „ wo dann auch mal, für Numan untypisch, aber genial,  eine Akustikgitarre zu hören ist.

Dead Son Rising ist wie ein Soundtrack mit experimentalen Soundscapes  plus Industrial  (Big Noise Transmission, The Fall)  a la “NiN”, sanfte Töne wie “Please Push No More ( Telekon) bei “Dead Son Rising” und  “Not The Love We Dream Of”

Kurz:

 Numan  is back ! …and I Like it !
